Great performances from the actors. Also worth the watch because it helps you see the impact of depression and mental illness on people and their families. I get that the puppet is a little odd, but you can see how it becomes an extension of him, in many ways in a cute, endearing way ...and then how it starts to turn more serious. We also see the power, and freedom, of love and truth. I wish they'd had some kind of "for more information" or "if you or someone you know needs help" with some kind of statistics, etc. but perhaps in 2011 they didn't do those things.

Loved this movie. Great message, beautiful scenery. Lovely romance (not overly sappy or unbelievable). My husband and I both loved it.
