Finishing off the last episode of this impeccable drama was rather a heavy-hearted feeling. Kashaf Murtaza is a realistic portrayal of a person bent into a pessimist by the worst of what life could offer. There are instances where the audience must be like for once, “Why can’t she just chill out a bit?” Only to realize this no-nonsense negative approach was breathed into her by adversities and abandonment she suffered quite early. And talking about Zarun, Fawad Khan did a very very very very very good job to say the least. The characters of Sidra, Raffia, Sir Abrar and Sara were cherry on the top! A must mention is the actress playing Asmara, she did a brilliant act making a great impact even in restricted screen presence! I love this show❤️

The movie released in 2009 was definitely much beyond its time. It was one of the firsts in Indian cinema that accurately represented the atrocities that were inclusive of the post-9/11 prejudice. Neil Nitin Mukesh emotively portrayed the character of Omar and was the highlight of the movie while it is a must-watch for Katrina Kaif. The filmography was further adorned by the casting of versatile artists like Nawazuddin and Irrfan. The ending is very emotional and gives us a reality check about the sufferings of man owing to the label of religion and origin. The climax is really bitter and one can definitely find themselves tearing down towards the end of the movie. It would be an understatement to overlook the gem of an actor Neil Nitin Mukesh is.
