After reading some one star reviews I've decided to leave my own.
I've enjoyed this game throughly, I've played it on hard and with permadeath mode. Playing with multiple characters is very refreshing, it completely breaks the "I am the protagonist and I'm basically god" stereotype. I had to pay more attention to my loadout and my habilities, as well as planning my team with more detail as opposed as just shooting everyone as in Watch Dogs 1, and solving all my problems with a drone and a robotic little car like in watch dogs 2. I was baffled on how advanced the AI for the NPCs and the reputation system is, I was very entertained by seeing what I could and couldn't to change the NPCs opinions of DedSec.
Of course with multiple characters, some repetition was bound to happen. I spent the first two days of my playthrough just recruting people, so I made like 20-25 recruitment missions one after another and I was surprised to see there was more variety than I was used to.
Each NPC having its strengths and weaknesses was very interesting to play with. I've recruited a guy to my team which had the shopaholic trait and just left them there to see what they would buy, I laughed several times when something very tense was happening and I got a notification a operative of mine just bought some new boots, lol.
I have to say that breaking the bigger, overarching plot into smaller plots let me down a little bit, and there was barely any tie-ins between them. I went through a subplot so fast I barely felt it. There where some points that could be expanded, especially in the first act, which could flourish a little bit more of the lore inside the game.
Overall, I recommend this game if you want more difficulty and stakes than the other Watch Dogs games. Permadeath is a must, because it adds and extra layer of tension to the game.
