If you're a long time fan of the series and Samus this game is an absolute must buy. For newcomers you're getting a gritty and difficult but very rewarding game that will have you on edge from start to finish. A few minor nitpicks and gripes, but definitely not enough to take away from how much fun I was having playing this game

Terrible story telling where everything is just conveniently in the right place at the right time. Ignore physics and events of past movies for big theatrical style story telling with tons of gaps just to make sure the big jump or explosion scene is just right. There's plenty of cheap fan service, little haha moments, and some new characters and droids kids will go crazy for and buy all the toys. Overall a cheesy "friendship conquers all" storyline with tons of moments for you to make illogical assumptions of what's happening now, and then afterwards go buy all the cool new toys.
