Don't understand why this movie is getting some mediocre reviews - this is a VERY intense, very bloody ride anchored by a gut wrenching bond between a mother and her son. The actors are top notch, the lead specifically, who is able to go from loving and protective mother to a blood curdling monster. I went in thinking it'd be a nice vampire romp for background fodder, but all the way till the end it was impossible to take my eyes of what was going on. It's refreshing to see variation in the vampire genre, and here you get a successful mix of an airplane thriller, a zombie like threat, big BIG stakes that keep getting bigger and bigger - and that incredible central relationship. I went from tensely fixated to tearing up.
