Was a perfect film that reflected the times it was made in, after the real conspiracies of Watergate and people beginning to see the CIA as a not so moral institution. Nothing that has happened since has rehabilitated their reputation. the ruthless world of espionage here perfectly comes to life. Max Von Sydow does his quietly sinister psychopath role.
It feels authentically real and as a study of vulnerability, peerless.
One of the best slick thrillers that spawned a new genre of gritty realism.
