Simon Lipson

A film with pretensions that never delivers. Washington is always watchable, but Malek is miscast. It poodles along, all brooding, no tension, and is saddled with tired tropes - the disgraced cop, the thrusting newbie, the prickly relationship that becomes buddy-buddy, the taunting villain who is always 5 steps ahead of the cops. The last 30 minutes are tedious and plain silly. Avoid.
