I enjoyed it.
Obviously I'm used to controlling the character, but the action scenes were well done and the visual fx were excellent. The story was it's own and although there were sections of the game in the film. It felt like it's own story.
You do not have to play the games to enjoy the movie, but you would like the games as well and are well worth playing.
8/10 for me. Always room for improvement, but a well paced film.
