I have been waiting for this remake so long and I’m so happy it’s finally out. I love the chibi style and being able to take out my Pokémon to walk with me outside of amity park like in HeartGold/SoulSilver. Of course a lot of it is the same but that can only be expected of a remake. The 3D models of the humans in battle are a bit weird looking and does not look as good as some most recent games but it never bothered me too much. My biggest gripe I have with the game is how much they cut away from the Pokémon contests which were my favorite part of the original. They completely removed the accessories portion completely as well as the talent section. The dancing section that was left does not even feel like a real dancing section since it got dumbed down to just tapping and holding a singular button. Contests used to make me feel so excited but now so much has been stripped from them they seem completely pointless and boring. Of course that only affects some individuals. The game itself is still good and a great play besides that.
