It's difficult to not try and see the old characters in here, but once you appreciate them for who they are, similar, but their own people, it's a great show.

***SPOILERS*** Plot and Characters are flat. Alice blames Kate for not using her "twinsticts" to sense her behind the door. But Alice didn't make a sound. She was afraid the creepy skinny guy could take on her military tough guy father? That a whispered word to gett sister WOULDN'T make everything better? But it's Kate's fault? Kate blames her father for not continuing the search after they found bone fragments matching her DNA? That's pretty definite. It's wrong, but it's a good excuse. So far Luke and Mary are my favorite characters. They do all the work, and have interesting characters, especially Mary. Luke, not so much, but he plays his part so well and there is the promise of a deeper character. When we get there, it will be good. I hope he turns out to be a playboy. That would smash the assistant/sidekick image.

The mix of comedy and seriousness was off. Jokes were too lame to even be cringy. That was a better joke then anything on the show. Loose ends are not tied up and there is no real plot. PS, did I miss why mom was in prison? I'm sorry. It was truly terrible.
