The book is, definitely, not all about the travelling of a person but it also gives the reader a clear picture of cultures of middle east also. Apart from being a travel story it is a “story of story” as the author himself has described. Having the ability to read between the lines you can extract myriad information about the middle east, Palestine issue and about many more countries splendidly described in the book. No doubt a wonderful story of acceptance of Islam and subsequent description and explanation of many points of the religion. Now, if being a neutral reader, which i love to be, I come toward an issue which i faced was that the author has criticised the west just to uprise the other part. I personally don’t like criticism just for the sake of highlighting the better areas of the region against it. No doubt every region has its traits, ethical code, work environment, social thinking and dilemmas. Anyhow, a master piece of literature.
