Wowza this movie is not old enough to be so wildly inappropriate. The main character repeatedly uses a slur for Inuit without anyone ever acknowledging it, and it epitomizes the "Magical Native" trope with a character who should be the focus of the story but ends up mostly providing a way for the white people to learn and grow. Really just disgusting, and if you don't get why you need to do better.

LOVE this movie, absolute classic. Plenty of clever gags without knowing much context, and a compelling enough story, but then go read the Wikipedia page and go back to appreciate all the references, it's like the Canadian Hot Fuzz!

Gosh just what we needed, a show with two women among its all-white 15 leading cast, in a story from the even more sexist and racist days of Hollywood also centering white men... love many of these actors, but please. Try harder.
