I went to see this film only because my older sister chose it, likewise I had zero expectations, I wept at the end and left the theatre knowing I had just seen a piece of art not only with The Goldfinch painting but through the film itself. I'm a little stumped by the critic reviews but believe they are unfortunate to be expected to critique the film having read the book first, always such a conundrum, as is seeing the film then reading the book. At any rate, if you luv both the fine arts and the performing arts this film will resonate with you as a beautiful marriage of the two. Beyond these simple words I type here, how deeply this film has moved me is a feeling I am thankful to now know and hold close to my heart.
