Not a huge ‘action figure’ movie guy, but I loved the Christopher Nolan movies, and for that reason, I seem to keep coming back to Batman.
This movie reminded me of the last season of Game of Thrones, started good, did some long action scenes, and then got really bad. Dramatic moments for no reason and stagnated characters that only develop through oddly framed, half-baked monologues. Leave It is to AT&T.
Facts:
1. The Riddler killed four people, all corrupt criminals.
2. The Batman likely is responsible for significantly more deaths. The Batman’s shoddy detective work (chasing a Penguin because a ‘Rat with Wings,’ could be a Pigeon, which like Penguin, starts with a P…) led him to cause a massive multi-car pileup & explosion on the highway.
3. Cat woman steals a few millionaire dollars and is caught breaking and entering. On multiple occasions, Batman turns a blind eye. Makes you think, was the Riddler gearing up to audit Bruce Wayne’s books?
As a taxpayer who routinely drives on highways and believes in transparent accounting practices, I'd likely vote for the Riddler as my vigilante.
