Brian Michaels

Started off quite clever, and about halfway through absolutely tanked. It's like they had a general idea for a movie, had a really good idea how to begin it, had a clever (close to) ending, but had ZERO idea how to connect the two. Threw some ideas around and when they couldn't make it work just said "screw it, the audience is stupid, so it doesn't matter". And why do I say "clever close to ending"? Because they had a clever end, and then took it about 5 minutes further, and just knocked off the ending of layer cake instead.

Can't even make it through the first episode. So poorly acted. So poorly written. The biggest deal in earths history (something alien landing) and there are 3 or 4 scientists with tablets wondering around it? Anytime they run a test some "general" is standing there expecting success in seconds? The crew sent on the super important mission of creating first contact is unprofessional, incompetent, and immature. With zero discipline or any form of real order. Literally every scene is full of aspects that make no sense and completely take you out of the show. I'm watching it as I'm writing this, and each new scene makes it worse. Utter garbage.
