I thoroughly enjoyed ‘Troubled Blood’. Admittedly it was a very long read and physically hard to hold. It’s a credit to the author that this didn’t bother me on this occasion. I was captivated from the start to the finish by the story and investigation. Strike and Robyn are both interesting, complex characters and their interaction feels very real. The Agency staff were also well portrayed. I was intrigued towards the end of the book to find out how the interview with Creed would work and what technique Strike would employ in the hope of succeeding where others had failed. The author succeeded brilliantly in making the interview come alive and it was a good conclusion
