Beautiful and thrilling at times (particularly during hordes missions) but overly repetitive, this game can entertain for hours but its mediocre story and bugs decrease the enjoyment of an otherwise good game.

No wonder this didn't generate much buzz. The Strangers was a pretty good horror/slasher film but this is so devoid of logic and that I think made it so bad. I love that in the original the response to why the killers were doing what they did was "because you were home" and that continues in this with "why not"; they're just savage and that's it. What's bad is that the victims have no brains.
Bro and sis have a terrible relationship and aren't agreeable in the slightest so when they are visibly shaken and tell their parents about a grossly murder their dad's response was "imma check it out"?
When dad sees threat with axe staring at them he counts to 5 to let the killer go?
When son has a pistol and faces a killer who obviously just killed his mom he refuses to fire point blank? Like dead father like son I suppose.
When a brick is expectedly thrown at car this results in a brutal mva?
When truck hits trailer the siblings understandably drop the gun. The truck reverted so they don't grab the gun then run?
The daughter has about 0 peripheral vision?
When daughter has shotgun she lets guy in car pull up and stop at side of car and does nothing?
Guy in truck is clearly almost immortal; drives as though he didn't just get roasted in the freakin truck?
Nope. So disappointing. Glad I didn't pay to see this.
