Adam Driver brought an awesome performance to this oddly paced movie. His and Daisy Ridley's tension was palpable, even without the usual ubiquitous nudity and sexuality of Hollywood blockbusters. I agree that the writers/directors of this film did their best they could from where the storyline was left at the end of "The Force Awakens", however almost too much was crammed into this film.
