I remember reading about this baseball team from an old interview that Kurt Russell had given, and it was more of a side reference. After reading about all of the things MLB has done to the small and non-MLB market teams over the past 40-50 years, this is a great story of Bing Russell, and how he built and put this team together. Independent and unashamed of putting together a rag tag team of players no MLB teams wanted. It brough back competitive baseball back to Portland OR after MLB took their minor league team away in the early 70's.
