This is BY FAR the best DC film adaptation of all-time and arguably goes toe to toe with the best of MARVEL. Only not in the let’s be campy and try to be like MARVEL kind of way.
It’s fresher, darker, more ominous and truer to its DC source material (which I’m telling you right now, comic fans are GOING TO LOVE).
I can’t knock Whedon for doing what the movie execs wanted, especially on the heels of the mediocre reception of Snyder’s B v S.
But, this film raises superhero storytelling to an EPIC level for all ages. One where younger generations introduced to superhero mythology by way of R.D.J as Iron Man and XBOX can be just as satisfied as those raised on Atari reading art panels in comic books.
This may sound insensitive or odd. But I couldn’t be happier for Snyder and his wife for this achievement at a time their suffering couldn’t be more challenging.
I say it purposefully. I buried my first born daughter in 2008 after an at home accident. It’s the most crushing and unnatural loss any human can experience.
I hope the Snyder’s get a chance to read this review someday. They need to know how proud somebody whose been in their shoes (emotionally) is of this accomplishment. You’ve earned the raving reviews and accolades this film is going to receive from fans.
Allow yourselves to Enjoy the hell out of it.
