Aight ima do a recap here, here it is. So basically after the 16th angel seele invades nerv in an attempt to start third impact, an action that would render all humans as one while still retaining their consciousness. They are turned to oj by favorite person, which in reality is rei. Asuka and shinji reject the ooze and are the last humans alive, although technically the goo people are too. Episodes 25 and 26 are basically in shinjis mind, and is him coming to terms with his issues, which is what happens when you get gooed, so there’s a chance the original ended with him rejecting his humanity and becoming Fanta. This was more of an explanation of the end than a spoiler, but it still spoils it, so my bad, but I’m assuming you already watched it. I made this in like 5 mins cuz I was bored so idk if it’s good, I watched a lot of explanation vids tho.
