Quite a cheesy film with some very cheesy lines and character settings, some parts of the story are just not believable, how the movie portraits Japanese / Russians are rather superficial in my opinion. However I quite like some of the visuals which even tho don't look realistic, somewhat remind me of the scifi periodicals I used to read when I was a child. Overall an interesting movie, just because as a Chinese film this is full of Hollywood flavor. Nevertheless because it looks so much like a Hollywood film, it lacks creativity in cinematography and storytelling. I like that some lines are actually funny in Chinese, but other than that the film reminds nothing else of its root culture - I mean, I could imagine the whole crew being Americans and this would be just another cheesy Hollywood movie to kill the time with.
