It’s all downhill after Season 1. Sure there all types of problems within high schools and teens have a variety of different problems/trauma in their lives, but this was so over the top. There was an excess of violence, guns, drugs, mental illness, sex, rape, in addition to a couple of murders and the suicide that is the basis for the series. Things just got more and more out of control as the series progressed. The parents of the kids were total pushovers and willingly believed almost every last thing their kids said to them. I watched the entire series and just got more and more disgusted with it. It was like watching soap opera with teens as the main characters. So many secrets and lying and really disturbing behavior from a bunch of mostly entitled kids. Absolutely awful and this is not a series for kids to watch.

I used to love this show. I always liked the characters portrayed on the SVU team. I still like the show, but I have to say, Olivia Benson's character annoys me to no end these days. Every single episode these days I have to listen to Olivia use her"whisper" voice, and it is just overkill. Just use your voice Olivia. I don't need to hear you whisper "It's not your fault" even one more time, or "I have to do what's best for my son" in that whisper voice one more time . OVERKILL! Just talk, Olivia. Lose the whisper so I can enjoy the show again!
