Better as a mini series. Yes, the movie's vision is beautiful and expansive but it is not in any way the immersive space i want to be enamored in with a Dune universe. That combined with the likes of Thanos, Aquaman, Drax, M.J. and Star Wars' Poe Dameron, actors who are fantastic in their previous roles respectively, pulls away from your ability to want to connect with these characters in this expanse in the way that say William Hurt did in the Sci fi version. Perhaps I'll feel differently in the future when it is told as a complete story but for now Dune is just fine captured as a small screen treat on HBO Max... and then check out the Sci fi series.
