Terrific performances from the entire cast, great writing and a pace that is gripping until the very end. The way the characters try to beat the other at every turn is thrilling to the watch. In the beginning you start holding out for the elderly victim of Pike's evil business, but when you find out that the victim isn't a plain Jane either you get conflicted about whom you should root for. The final resolution between the parties feels very anti-climactic, but in the end when Pike gets her comeuppance you can't help but feel satisfied. All in all a riveting watch!

Watch this if you are feeling down, depressed or hopeless. This is a beautiful movie that tugs at the chords of your heart. Certainly did mine. A very apt title. Life is made up of the small things, we need to stop and wonder at the beauty around us, and cherish every moment of it. This is the wonderful message this movie brings us. Do not miss this one.

From the time the protagonist watches the video nasty that leads her to believe the actress is her long lost sister, the film gradually devolves into a psychedelic nightmare and never lets up. You can literally feel the protagonist spiralling down into a dark tunnel of madness and despair, and the climax is both immensely shocking and satisfying. The film serves as a great social commentary - who are the people who watch video nasties the most and are most likely to be affected by them? No, it's not the general public, but the censors who review them, cut them and make them fit of public consumption. In the end, you cannot help but wonder whether you should categorize this film as a video nasty too! Highly recommended.

Loved it! A movie with a unique style and great acting from the lead couple. The pacing is fantastic and the tension slowly builds up to a thrilling climax. A must watch! The film does a great job in taking you back to the US of the 50s, with stunning cinematography and great music that contribute to authentic feel of the movie. It's an overall refreshing new take on the UFO subgenre.

Stellar cast with superb acting. Slow pace but engaging throughout. The gloomy setting of a lodge in a snow-clad landscape with no civilization in sight just adds to the cold atmosphere, and to the cold hearts of the 2 kids. Grace is likeable from the start and you begin to wonder what is it that makes the kids hate her so much. But then you realise it's the kids that are the real psychopaths, and Grace is just a victim of her surroundings. From her wretched past life as that of a cult member to her new life as a stepmom to these 2 children who have recently lost their mother, she has always been a victim, and her final act to take her destiny into her own hands to seek salvation and respite commences in a gripping third act that is not only nerve-wracking but also weirdly satisfying.
