SPOILERS, DUH.... I already knew this movie wouldn't amount to much with the lack of a green alien lady with orange hair and an old dude with the bushiest brows and fancy mustache... but my god, they could not have screwed this up much more than they did. FIRST finding a planet with PLANTS should yeild a much bigger reaction....Second, 4 hours in space would not have amounted to 4 years, it would be 16 hours, I dont care if this is on a different planet the math is still the same. There were approximately 6 other more cohesive and consistently enjoyable routes they could have gone, but they instead rushed the story along and jammed 4 really bad routes into one 2 hour movie; introducing and entire new plot line 40 minutes before the end of the movie. There are no sentient alien races other than humans, so creative space related writting was already down the toilet. We dont explore further into the monsterous SENTIENT plant nor the hoarde of alien bugs. There is no continuity with the timeline, like the writers know nothing of a butterfly effect. ZERG isn't a robot?!?! And is treated like a tantrum throwing toddler in his writting: getting upset when ONE robot dies only to have it revive seconds later. Both my husband and I decided to stop watching at the superman reference. This could have been 5 movies easily... I know it was made for kids, but so was Teen Titans, and I'm not referring to Go. Rookie should have not been seen for the rest of the movie after being sucked down, unless the plot lead to investigation of the sentient plant...
