The only thing remotely similar to the Novels and the BBC production is the name. It should have taken place in the late 70s or early 80s. The acting is fine but the time period has been ignored. Should have been called something entirely different as there is no connection to the original material. Really sorry as it is disappointing to day the least. I have read every novel and seen every BBC episode so I feel close to the main character who seems to be missing.
