This show was really awesome in it’s first 47 years.
It had mostly great or good actors and characters which are mostly likeable, easy to follow storylines if you watched the stories and episodes out of order, nice costumes, great action, funny humour and special effects which got better and better as time went on.
However, in 2010, when Stephen Moffat arrived, I feel he made the episodes way too complicated, and years later I had to stop watching it because I couldn’t understand what the hell was going on half the time.
And the acting sadly got worse as well, especially when Peter Capaldi arrived and he was so miserable by rarely smiling and being so dark, compared to the light hearted Doctors we all knew and loved previously.
But the final nail in the coffin for me, was The Doctor’s Sex changing just for the sake of political correctness. No one asked for it to be female before, so why change it after offer 50 years? It’s like making Mary Poppins or Princess Fiona male, it just kills the franchise and just fails miserably.
I have made a vow I will never watch a new Doctor Who episode ever again after that, but however, I still love to watch and enjoy the earlier episodes, with many great actors, characters and stories, especially the ones with my favourite Doctor, The Third One.
I really recommend you check out Jon Pertwee’s episodes the most, as his are just spectacularly acted, edited and well written. They are just so wonderful. And I strongly recommend staying as far away from this new, way too politically correct Doctor Who as far as possible.
