I wasn’t sure in the beginning , but decided to give it a second chance. The first episodes of the kdramas are often like that. As it went on , it got more gripping . I was going through taking care of my elderly and sick mother at the time , knowing her life too had been radiant at one time.
My mom passed peacefully , but more quickly than I expected . Understandably,I took some time to get back to the drama as a kind of therapy. It got more and more poignant and it’s message of love and compassion for the elderly really struck home. I cried buckets for sure for Chanel Helmony.
I wasn’t prepared for the twist, but felt its message even more deeply. I want to thank the writers for a unique approach to a sensitive subject. It’s obviously something that needs addressing, not only in Korea, but more so in North America.
The acting was excellent on all accounts .
Love and respect for our parents who were once vibrant, Is a message we all need to heed. That’s us all too soon! I highly recommed this show.
