SPOILER FREE just saw Flash, and... I felt nothing after that movie, the only part I liked was the concept of two Barry's and I liked young Barry in the third act. Besides that, Miller had some decent acting bits here and there I guess. I wouldn't say I hated the movie, but I didn't like it. I wish it was a proper Flash movie, such as having a few Flash villains in there like Capt. Cold or Mirror Master or Grodd, but it doesn't. I enjoyed Sasha Calle as Supergirl, but she never got a proper ending, and I never watched the Keaton Batman movies so I don't have any nostalgia for that. The Flash is my favorite superhero, but the movie it's a shell of what it could have been. Barry had a little bit of his personality back but it feels off for a majority of the movie, and Barry shouldn't be treated as a junior member of the JL, he is a founding member, in fact, originally Batman and Superman WEREN'T founding members. Also, the cameos were distasteful towards the actors. I can excuse archival footage, but using AI to recreate them is beyond disrespectful. The suit looks wonky and when the suit is depowered, his waist needs more belt, and when it IS powered, it is overly busy near the logo.

I will say this, the movie had great visual effects for the time. I am going to be comparing it to the book, which is infinitely better, although I am only on Page 250 or so, which means that I have not seen everything, and I am at the part when Ender is on the ship to Command School. Some of the differences between the book and the movie are: All Launchies are 6 years old and by the time Ender is commander of Dragon Army, he is 10 years old. Bonzo is tall and more threatening compared to his incredibly short and scrawny appearance in the movie, the movie made Petra way more important than she was in the book(her in the battle with the two armies(though in the book Salamander Army and Bonzo did not fight Ender in that one instance), Bean isn't introduced until Ender becomes commander of Dragon Army and is 6 years younger, Dink is several years older and is a Toon Leader, but we don't see much of Dink in the movie anyway, Graff and Anderson are not too sympathetic towards Ender as much as in the movie, knew about Bonzo attacking him about a week in advance, instead of a week between battles, they increased the amount so much is became two battles every day. Not to forget, they completely forgot about the Peter and Valentine subplot which was disappointing. Other complaints about the movie is that it is extremely rushed and totally skip over tons of character moments. This is a book where it would have been best to have it as a TV show, maybe 8-16 episodes based upon the pace and format. I rate it 1/5, read the book, way better.
