Love the series but this is not even a movie really. As other people are saying, it’s a cash grab. Nothing actually happens. No secrets are uncovered, no one dies, our main leads don’t even do anything in the new material. I absolutely love this show, but you are not missing anything if you skip it.

Theirs so much to say about this movie, but Ill get right to it. The set up in this movie is fantastic, the first 30 to 45 minutes chefs kiss. Beautiful writing, atmosphere, the tone was classic Halloween. I also loved the idea of everything coming to a head and the entire town decided to fight back against Meyers. Its a brilliant set up. The issue comes up once Micheal starts killing, it's like the tone of the movie changed and now it wants to be a dark comedy. There are scenes where people die and its hilarious, but I'm not sure if its supposed to be. And nothing in the beginning of the film indicates its going to be a horror comedy. So I would say that's the main issue. SPOILERS!! I think the end is where it really goes off the rails. MM is getting a beat down by the town, but no one is giving him any life threatening wounds. I actually would have liked the series to end here. I know money and all, but this movie could have been the perfect wrap up to the series and the Halloween retcon movie. The town coming together to fight as one is awesome and could have made for a really great cat vs mouse movie. The predator being prayed on by the victims. It had so much potential. Well that's my two cents, still worth a watch to me.
