I had really enjoyed the first two films in the trilogy and was really excited to see this film unfortunately for me this film failed to deliver the same sense of excitement as the previous two film’s. Prior to the final quarter the film lacked the pace of its predecessors and unfortunately I just struggled to engage with Rey and thought her performance at times looked awkward and unconvincing. It also felt as if they were trying to make up for the fact that the film was not as strong by trying to throw in as many cameos as possible. Stand out performance for me was Finn and it’s a shame their wasn’t more of him in the film but maybe they didn’t want a repeat of Han Solo being more successful than Luke Skywalker.
