The piquant lines of #atticus caught my attention and then my heart on Instagram and I purchased two books -- "The Dark Between Stars" and "Love Her Wild". I fell in love with lines of #atticus over early morning and evening hours. Love is found in the brief lines of universal wisdom -- "There is too much risk in loving," the young boy said" No," said the old man, "there's too much risk in not." (LHW 18). The love of the forever maternal bond is found in lines of "I looked at my mother and smiled-- she does so happily exist at that moment of one too many glasses of wine" (LHW 36). And self-love for the child-within are found in "She didn't know why she did it, she felt trapped inside her skin, and maybe, she thought, just maybe, the cuts would let the light in." (DBS 193). Yes, the lines of #atticus are brief as is vogue with poets on social media -- but the lines require ponderment. I recommend curling up on your couch when doing nothing on a Sunday afternoon while picking up an #atticus book left on your end table.
Purchase #atticus for the perfect Valentine's gift.
