I read Hanna Alkaf stories on The Weight of Our Sky and amazed with it, so did this book. Although this is middle grade book, I really enjoy it as a 25 yo woman. It taught me alot on forgiveness, and how to let things go. The Malay and pop culture references mixed with horror-adventure are written beautifully by the author.
And last, I qoute the exact sentence that made me pause and cry for good 5 minutes:
"The most beautiful blooms come from the darkest soil."
Highly recommend to read it
