Madeline Miller

The extra star is for Saoirse-Monica Jackson because she’s always amazing and hilarious. Her character and her family were the best part of the movie and they weren't even in many scenes so..... yeah. In my opinion, this movie was BAD. There was so much going on and yet it felt like nothing really happened at all. There was no chemistry between the male and female leads, or any of the characters for that matter. Its horrible but for some of the more serious scenes, I found myself laughing because the acting was just not very good. Rose Reid (Finley) was a piece of stale bread. I thought that this was gonna be cute, fun, and kinda stupid (but in a good way) but it was disappointing for me.

It is absolutely nothing like the book. They basically changed everything. If you loved the book don’t bother watching. If you haven’t read the book, I’m sure you would enjoy it if you’re into this kind of show but as someone who read and loved the book, Netflix just kinda pissed me off with this.
