My personal rating: Absolute 5 out of 5. I’ve been playing games since Atari, Sega, Nintendo and PS1 onwards and seeing how the games technology advance through the years. This is possibly the best of the best games I’ve ever experienced. It’s painfully addictive. This game is very deep - technically, emotionally and it keeps you thinking. It engages you. It’s hard to explain, you got to play it to know. That is why many reviewers had no clue or find it hard to write. For sure, It’s not a shallow game. A rare gem in today’s gaming world. While metal gear solid was great, I enjoyed this much more, every second of the gameplay. The jaw dropping visuals and the beautiful world, the terrain which feel so real, every single stones and rocks, waters, snow and how Sam reacts to the terrain, the theme of the soundtracks which kicks in at certain scenes, the suspense storytelling from the characters and the very well directed cutscenes, fighting or evading BTs and the MULEs, the difficult journey of delivering goods which change peoples lives which I find rewarding, some unexpected humour, the connections with other players and sharing what they feel from their traces and using structures together, the resource planing and using those items from simple rope to high tech zip lines, safe houses, guns etc. This is just so fun! Put all these together, is a good balance of adventure, strategy, action and storytelling. It’s a new gaming experience nobody had ever created. I shouldn’t even call it a game, it’s more than a game. Not forgetting the originality and its creativity. It’s out of the box. It’s a new height. Don’t miss it. Thank you Hideo Kojima and team.
