This story is breathtaking. I live next to the Hasidic community in Williamsburg which makes this story very live and intense. I listened to this audiobook after seeing the Netflix series. The Netflix movie is loosely inspired by the book. The book describes a lot of details from the author's youth and how she gradually decided to free herself from the community. The epilogs were a beautiful addition to the story and explain the different tone from the movie.
