The Disturbing Panda

I'm only giving this 2 stars cause i'd hate to give it a 1, but honestly, i'd really love to as well, simply cause of how much i want them to acknowledge the problem of the show. Now first off, i think the creators of the show itself are insanely talented, every single thing about this show is beautifully done besides the plot, which is mostly to blame the original writer of the manga for. The reason i'm giving the show a bad review is because I SO DESPERATELY DON'T WANT SEASON 3 TO ALSO BE THE CREATORS BLATANTLY ANIMATING EXACTLY HOW THE MANGA GOES, because i don't want these people to continue making a masterpiece out of something that has such a confused plot. The show's visuals, music, characters, and ideas for the story are amazing, but the creator of the manga seems to have been drunk while writing the story, cause she forgets 50% of things she sets up. Most interesting things about the story are either very underwhelming, or lost entirely. The creators seem to be worried about upsetting fans of the manga, which is why they don't seem to be changing anything about the way the story goes, but dammit the original story is so unreliable, and if they don't change anything about the story, season 3 will once again be bad. I just want these people to be more creative towards the writing, cause they're obviously talented enough to also hire writers that will manage fixing the major flaws in how the plot plays out. All the starter content of the show is great, so i hope they don't let the bad writing of the manga ruin the next season too.

Note: i will update this review overtime and give more stars as the game gets better. It's obvious to everyone this game is bad, it was one of my worst games of 2021, it was one of the most frustrating things i played, but the game still gets updated, the devs are trying to undo the damage. It seems they already made the tone a bit creepier, with much darker areas, and yeah, if i was reviewing this from the first version of of security breach, i'd give it a 2, so i think by the progress they've made, i can already make this a 3/5. This game is one i want to see succeed, whether or not it's noticed by the public in it's better form. I hope they keep updating it, and even if it was rushed, which led to them removing a ton of content, i still hope they can at least make a good game out of the empty shell they left for us, when it comes to the story. I just wanna see this game become good enough, for me to actually have fun while playing it one day. Even if it's just slightly enjoyable. That's all i ask, so yeah, hope the devs manage to achieve that, then i can turn this to a 4/5

Genuinely amazing. The music is just amazing, and really nostalgic whenever returning to the game. Tho many people didn't like the first person, I love it, it felt much more immersive. I love the exploration, which sadly not as good in re8. Re7 doesn't have much good replay value, i wish this had challenges just like re8, i also wish you could skip the cutscenes, since the intro to this game is very slow, and the first tape recorder you have no choice but to watch, and it's kinda tedious. But overall the first have of the game was the strongest, and I love it. If the rest of the game continued on like that, it could've actually been my favorite horror game, cause i do have mixed feelings, but i'll still leave 5 stars, the first half of this game is amazing

Decent, still nowhere near the level of Until Dawn, but I can appreciate the length of this game. One of my biggest problems with this game is how tired it feels. It barely had any story. Tho still a bit more than Little Hope. Man Of Medan was alright, and basically it was just the abrupt ending that ruined it for me. Little Hope's characters were constantly fighting, it was hard to really like anybody, but the ending really kicked it when it's down. Little Hope also barely had any plot aside of the old time sections, everything else was walking in identical forests, and abandoned houses, and also a repeat of the same chase sequences for monsters. So this isn't as bad as Little Hope, this is just one that you'll play for 5 hours and never return to again cause you just don't care for it. The characters aren't annoying like in Little Hope, but they are really forgettable, which still isn't a good thing, I think the reason for this might've been because they're all the military, and i guess the devs think people in the military can't show any emotion. You never got any cute scenes with Rachel and Nick, their chemistry just wasn't there, just like Taylor and Daniel in Little Hope. No character ever seemed to be happy, and it's understandable based on their stressful situation, but we never got any nice moments even in the beginning, and it becomes hard to connect to them in any way. Scenarios in this game are almost all just shooting monsters, so you don't have much to remember once you finish. Also one problem that all these games have is the restrictions for kills. I can feel the barriers this game puts. I think instead of making very hard QTEs with 1 out of 5 being fatal, they should instead make QTEs way easier, but make 1 out of 2 or something to be fatal. I want to feel the pressure. Hard for that to happen when you fail 10 qtes and nothing bad happens

I'll note, this is far from perfect, but i'll give it a 5 star rating cause people are unfairly treating this as something terrible. It's not terrible. So first, my main problem with the game was the characters. They were really interesting, but it felt like as soon as laura returned, most of the characters became irrelevant. The characters were better than until dawn, but the devs didn't take the chance to have them fully developed by the end, which was really unfortunate. Laura is a great character, but i'm sad the game forgot about most of the characters near the end. Abby and Emma had a section where they give Kaitlyn the silver bullets, and i thought the characters were finally getting developed, but then you start playing as Laura again, shoot the werewolf, and apparently that was it for the game. It felt a bit abrupt, the game was just starting to get it's climax with all the characters, and just as you were getting back into enjoying each characters' scenarios, the game just ends before you know it. They needed at least 10 more final minutes to play as Max, they needed at least 10 more final minutes to play as Emma or Abby, and same goes for Jacob. The game has a very strong start, but unfortunately by the end of the game it felt like the devs got lazy, it's very disappointing because this game has a lot of improvements over until dawn, but until dawn handled what it had much better. This game had great potential, but they didn't use it the way they did with until dawn. But I think this game is about on the same level as Until Dawn, there are plenty of things this game did better, just as there are the same amount of things Until Dawn did better. Still excited for another full game like this rather than just another Dark Picture Anthology

Credit where credit is due, the characters here are smarter than the first movie, though still not perfect. Many things this movie does better than the first, but my main problem with this movie is how 2 dimensional it seems. But I will say I liked one of the soundtracks that played in the train escape room, it also played at the closing in wall escape room at the start of the first movie. Acting wasn't great, aside of Indya Moore, who probably had the best performance in the movie. Characters are insanely underdeveloped. Only one who feels like the writers even tried with was Rachel. The rest almost stay strangers throughout the movie. The producers were like "the rooms are like character themselves" but it seems they were so focused on the rooms (which they are the best part of the movie) that they forgot about the characters. And that's really bad for a movie all about characters trying to solve puzzles, you'd think a movie so involving in smart character decisions would care about making it interesting to watch them all help each other solve puzzles They also tried to add a certain chemistry to Ben and Zoey, but it goes nowhere, which is disappointing since it could've made up for the bad character development. The worst part was the dialogue in this movie, there's no subtlety, everyone says the most obvious things. That's probably to blame the pg 13 rating. While the dialogue wasn't great in the first, in this movie i was just dying, the dialogue was so dumb, please get rid of the pg 13 dialogue. Also the ADR is kinda laughably noticeable, literally rewatch the bank scene where zoey gets cut by the diamonds or whatever. When she says "that's really sharp" and you could very very clearly see she wasn't actually talking, and that the audio of her saying it was added while the film was being edited I'll still probably watch the third, i'm just hoping the writers put a bit more care into the characters. Also improve the dialogue and acting, I really do want the series to be good, cause it has potential to be better than the saw series

This is actually a really underrated film. Sure the idea is kinda basic, but it's done in a more new and interesting mystery type way. It definitely went over my expectations. But there are things I wish this movie did better First of, the pacing. It's fairly consistent, I just felt like the movie dragged a bit. The movie would've been a much more welcome experience to random horror fans, if it moved things along a bit more quickly. Also the movie has a kind of boring grey color palette which, I really would've liked a much more vibrant look to the movie Also the scares leave me with mixed feelings, I wish they were a bit more subtle, cause there are times where the kid gets a demon face or whatever, and I feel like it's kind of unnecessary, and it ruins that intrigue that keeps you still questioning if the kid is actually evil or not. I think they tried to make it way to obvious the kid was evil. They for no reason force the idea of the Lily being evil, even when there was no evidence at all. Lilly would always ask "are you mad at me" even when it would be random to assume she has anything to do with it. I'd expect a demon that apparently reads people's thoughts to be smarter than to show that it's worried about somebody figuring out that they have something to do with what's going on

"Try anything and you'll get cancelled bro" lmao i genuinely thought this was a joke at first, and that this would be a comedy horror movie. I'm so surprised how un self aware this movie is, but i had a great time watching this movie, it was hilarious

oh my god this might be the worst horror movie i've ever seen in my life, there is genuinely nothing good about this movie. This makes Slenderman look like the greatest movie ever made 1. Acting is abysmal. And don't take this lightly, since I can look at terrible acting and think it's fine, so for me to think a movie has bad acting, then you know you've REALLY messed up 2. Effects are terrible. They should've done something practical, idk how anybody looked at the final product and thought it was worth showing to the public lmao 3. Plot makes no sense, and the sand monster has very inconsistent rules. Sometimes it will slowly pull someone down while devouring them, other times it'll just take people down instantly. The height or where the sand can reach is constantly different. So the rules are kinda illogical Not a single thing to like about this movie. Slenderman, even though it was terrible, has some cool cinematography, interesting soundtracks and sound design. This movie on the other hand is not only terrible, but anything that could've been good about it is average, so overall this movie can't be anything more than average if you look at it from the highest standpoint. I personally don't remember being satisfied with any cinematography, no cool sound design. This isn't a so bad it's good, it's so bad it's scary, cause man, i was shaking once this movie was over
