So....according to many critics, this is a feminist fable....yes, it’s kinda true that a new genre of storytelling has been introduced to indian cinema audience..... But one should also take this in consideration that this movie also has a literary point of view, as it’s quite inspired in several angles from Tagore’s notable work 'Noshtonir', which also inspired Ray to make 'Charulata'.....Making it obviously a predictable one, but still the feminist view has brought a new angle, different perspective(as for first time in indian cinema chudail is considered as Devi ) but the movie, in spite of becoming violent in several moments is quite praiseworthy for it’s editing and cinematography..... If you ask about acting, yes....everyone is pretty good and believable in Their character. Above all, this movie is not for them who like to watch horror movies just to get scared and want to scream....this is much different kind of pick
