Am still only on chapter 2 and I’m already floored on the amount of data and depth the author has gone into showing how much of a disadvantage women are in by having only men in charge of most important things in the world.
For example: city planning is done by men, who will naturally prioritise bus routes and highways that take people in and out of towns for work purposes. This forces women to have to walk to doctors, schools, grocery shops, etc. Or they have to take multiple buses. And data shows that in cities like London, 9 out of 10 women have experienced sexual harassment on a bus.
The book is filled with eye opening statements and data like this, and everyone needs to read it. Everyone, not just men or women.
