Episode 1 Review:
Very strong start to what seems to be an epic tale for the throne. Rhaenyra, I believe helped a lot in introducing the world and getting us to like the characters introduced throughout the episode. The story itself carried on very smoothly, with no parts feeling like it was slow or dragging on too much. It is very straight forward on what they wanted to tell in this episode and leads up to a great ending that sets many possibilities for where the story can go. The visual effects are done very well, I never once complained about the CGI of the dragons or action scenes. Which I will say are brutal, but that is to be expected in this show. I'm glad to see that the show is sticking to its roots in that sense, but hope they will not overdo it and use it only when necessary like in this episode. Overall, I am excited for the next episode and wonder if the Lord of the Rings show will be just as or stronger than GoT pilot.
