I thought this film was fabulous. It was entertaining, fast moving action film with a full house of good guys, villains, double agents, exotic locations, muscle cars & the witty sarcasm of the James bond films of yesteryear. Excellent cast. Hugh grant shines as the likeable villain. The female lead is gorgeous and smart. The hand to hand violence hit the right note (for me)...exciting without been "close my eyes gorey". I thought the director's ode to PC yet poking fun at it boundaries was very clever. The fake burglary scene accompanied by BJ Thomas and Paul Newman switcheing to a bit close up of sexy lips singing was brilliant and memorable.

The acting was good. Crowe really inhabited the character and was completely believable as someone that had become unhinged. However I thought the exaggerated script let the cast down. I found it too violent and unsettling to watch. Switched it off during the violence at the diner. I thought it had the potential to be more of a psychological thriller.
