Considering the previous She-Ra show in the 80's was a marketing scheme to sell toys, I didn't have very high expectations for the remake, especially since it was a "superhero" show. However, this show subverted my expectations drastically. It contains all the processes and components that extremely successful TV shows have: quality animation, character development, an changing plot, interesting and lovable characters, and a minimum of plot holes.
The animation is top notch, unlike any other style, it's like an anime, but more realistic character designs. The bright colors and smooth styles of animation catch eyes when it comes down to the quality of it.
The character development in this show is beyond phenomenal. Not only is it incorporated into every episode, it's mixed with the plot/ conflict for very interesting episodes that contribute to the main plot in a way that isn't forgettable. The love-hate relationships between some of the
Hear me out before i commentate on this part; the plot changes nearly every episode, but the main plot is clear in the show; overtake the Horde army. But the Hordes motivation changes every episode, making for an increase in suspense in relation to what their plan is.
The characters are extremely lovable and I think that this is mainly due to the amazing development of them. You don't necessarily think of the "bad guys" as truly evil when you see their motivations for what they want to do desperately. I think irony comes into play lots in this series, just because of what the characters who are classified as villians act like. They don't realize until later that they are being manipulated.
PLOT HOLES: this show has a very minimum. You can understand why they do what they do, and everything makes sense. Their dialogue isn't too outdated either.
Overall, this is a great show, and definitely one I recommended to my friends. It's a very fun way to pass the time, especially now since we have more of it.
