Spoiler Alert!!! I hated it. I didn't care of any of the side characters. While I appreciated Samuel for great parent he was. I didn't care to read about his love story. I really didn't get what was so great about Miranda except that she was an elderly person's fantasy. He build her up so much in his head because he wanted to sleep withher. Elio' s partner was irrelevant, dull and boring. There was no further insight in Oliver's personality. I wished for more Elio/Oliver. They and their feelings for each other was the essence of the first book. The sequel certainly did no justice to them. T
