Overall, the game is fine. The gameplay and story are fairly decent. Graphically, it's okay, even though the cinematics are vastly better than actual gameplay, which today seems so odd. Navigating the maps and simply playing as Cal was fun. But, for me, this game misses in so many ways.
For starters, I experienced a lot of bugginess. The game would crash constantly, or it would simply run choppy. The crashing was most frustrating since it takes a thousand years to restart, and you only resume from your last manual save point.
The targeting aspect of combat was useless. It was easier just to jump around and fight than it was to try and lock onto an enemy.
Blocking and parrying were basically pointless. More often than not, you had to dodge most incoming attacks since you'd hardly be able to parry, and blocking was only semi-effective.
The difficulties made no sense. Story mode was so easy that it wasn't enjoyable to fight enemies, but moving up one level to Jedi Knight made some boss fights just impossible.
Finding chests was a waste since they did nothing other than change your ship, BD, and character's appearance. Also, having to discover the workbenches on your own without some guidance was just stupid since you need those upgrades to progress through the story.
Going back and forth between planets became tedious, especially since you couldn't fast travel to specific parts. Not to mention, you have to meditate to save the game, and enemies respawn every time you rest and heal.
Like I said, the game had some good aspects, but in totality, it's a whiff. The only reason someone would love this game is because they've told themselves they would before playing it.
