I watched this show in 8th grade, it was confusing and colorful. As I continued watching I hated it because it shined on all my wrongdoings with the characters’ actions. But rewatching it during quarantine, and the movie especially, made me realize the narcissism in self-hatred (which made me hate myself for some time). After watching the full ending (The End of Evangelion), I realized so many things and grew as a person. Thanks NGE :) The ending of the movie is great (the show’s ending is decent, it’s Shinji’s denial). I especially related to Shinji & Asuka because I was NOT okay during quarantine, but I made it. Anyways I love the soundtrack, it is BEAUTIFUL. The fight scenes are awesome, the animation and character depth is great. the only reason I don’t give it a 5 is because of the apparent sexualization/grooming of minors😐 like typical 90s anime…(but I guess it depicts the inappropriate mind of a coming of age and confused 14 year old??)
