Tennant was brilliant as usual. Tucci didn't have the conplex material he deserves. The writing was awful. My especial gripe in how so much was told not shown. Tennant and Tucci could only do so much with their skills. They didn't deserve this tepid script.

Good as a standalone; unoriginal and uninteresting as an extension of Tolkien lore.

Loved it. Robin's action scene was awesome. Next episode will have Hawk and Dove and we will get more action from them as well. All the Dick Grayson scenes were brilliantly done. The actor does the angst and pathos perfectly. Starfire was badass and I can't wait for her to get her comic costume. Raven is fine and I don't mind her actress, younger actors particularly do take time to come into their own. Excited for Ryan Potter and more Beast Boy scenes.
