I liked the story and the monster special effects / gore were the highlight of the movie. The story is of the Wendigo, a native American/ Canadian legend. Because the whole movie is about native American culture and is about their mythical beast I wish there was more native Americans in the movie. I wish the main cast were native American. Maybe have a few scenes of a reserve or elaborate on the oil mine being built on the reservations land without their consent. I enjoyed this movie, I did, again the puppet ? I assume, was really nicely done. Loved the design of the monster. But over all I feel it's a white washed Hollywood movie that takes from indigenous peoples culture for inspiration & doesn't give back to indigenous communities or show propper indigenous casting.
