I want to give both a 5 star and a 0 star. It keeps playing with my heart, and I can't take it.
I binge it obsessively because I can't help it, but nothing ever changes, and it ends up disappointing. At the end of the day, the villains have been reprimanded the same way, Marinette and Adrien have no idea who each other are still, and Marinette continuously fails to even talk to Adrien coherently--just like she hasn't been able to do for 3 seasons. Every time they do come closer together, it's stripped away by Ladybug's put-everything-back-the-same-old-way spell. When Kagami told Marinette that she "doesn't hesitate", and that's why Marinette wouldn't have Adrien, it struck me really deep because it is so true--and it wasn't even directed at me! And Marinette doesn't seem to even be affected or consider it. The kwamis know who their partner's owner is, and they know how each one cares for the other's alter ego. They feel it that "These two are made for each other" (Master Fu), and they don't do much to encourage Marinette and Adrien's togetherness.
Overall, it hurts to finish yet another season even farther apart than the two started as, and I don't know if I can make it through another season like this.
