I am a big fan of the first and second season of Narcos. Not because there's Escobar in it, but because the main plot is quite simple: DEA vs Medellin. The plot gets more complex over time, but with the proper flow that the audience can follow and understand. But Narcos Mexico involves too many characters. Everyone has their own motives, which is great, but with the dialogue that's so fast-paced and too many characters that need to be remembered, I can't help but feel like studying. I want to be entertained. I don't want to spend my spare time studying the geography of Mexico, remembering plazas, and remembering which characters belong to which cartels. I can still enjoy some surprises here and there, but sometimes it's hard to feel anything about the plot if you don't really know what's happening.
